SHODAN: Resistance is Futile

SHODAN (http://www.shodanhq.com) is dubbed at  “The Computer Search Engine”. SHODAN has garnered attention from the U.S. Industrial Control System Computer Emergency Response Team (ICS-CERT) because anyone can discover “sensitive” ICS systems. In this talk I will provide an overview of how SHODAN works, as well as display how easy it is to create a SHODAN-like tool.

Marcus J. Carey

Marcus J. Carey is a Security Analyst with over 18 years experience in information assurance. Marcus has worked in diverse settings ranging from military, federal, and state government environments. Marcus has engineered and secured networks for the United States Navy, National Security Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency, and the State of Maryland over his career. Marcus is experienced in networking engineering, network exploitation, and computer forensics. Marcus earned a M.Sc. in Network Security from Capitol College.
